2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use the Service:
- Account information: Your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase, hashed and never accessible in plain text).
- Usage data: Records of thread generations you initiate, including the YouTube channel analysed, the mode selected, and the timestamp. We do not store the generated thread content itself.
- Payment data: Subscription status and PayPal subscription ID. We do not store or process your credit card or bank account details — all payment processing is handled by PayPal.
- Technical data: Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. These are used for security and debugging only.
We do not collect any special categories of personal data (such as health, biometric, or political data).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your TubeThreads account
- Provide and improve the Service
- Track your generation usage against your monthly plan limit
- Process and verify your subscription status via PayPal
- Respond to support queries sent to our email address
- Monitor for fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms and Conditions
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on the following third-party providers to operate:
- Supabase (supabase.com) — Authentication and database storage. Your account data is stored on Supabase infrastructure. Supabase's privacy policy applies to data stored there.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — We send YouTube video metadata to Anthropic's Claude API to generate thread content on your behalf. The content sent consists of publicly available video titles, descriptions, and statistics. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle this data.
- YouTube Data API v3 (Google) — We query YouTube's public API to retrieve video data for channels you analyse. Google's privacy policy applies to data returned by their API.
- PayPal — Payment processing and subscription management. PayPal's privacy policy governs all payment data.
- Resend — Transactional email delivery. We use Resend to send account-related emails such as welcome messages. Your email address is passed to Resend for this purpose.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.
Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes and then deleted.
6. Cookies
TubeThreads does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. We use session storage in your browser to maintain your login state during your session. No persistent cookies are set by us.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- API keys and secrets are stored as server-side environment variables, never exposed in the browser
- All data is transmitted via HTTPS
- Access to the database is restricted by row-level security policies
However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:
- The right to access the personal data we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate personal data
- The right to request deletion of your personal data
- The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

9. Children
